Clark House Project
The "Clark House Project" is in honor of Dave and Mary Clark who were missionaries in Africa for fifty years. Dave and Mary planted many church's in Uganda, and Keyna.
One of the churches still remains and is in full operation in Jinja, Uganda. Dave and Mary are now in their eternal home in heaven and Heritage Church has decided to build a house in there honor for all the wonderful work they did in dedication to the Lord.
Upon leaving the full time mission field they moved to Sun City and attended Heritage Church where they introduced Pastor Jim Amador to Jinja, Uganda. Since then, Pastor Amador has made several trips and is very involved in continuing the Clark's work in Uganda.
After seeing a video of a housing project in Zambia, Pastor Amador was inspired to move forward with a similar housing project in Jinja, Uganda where the first home we build will be the "Clark House" in honor of Dave and Mary Clark. This house will be the first of eight houses built and will house twelve orphan children and a widow who will be the house mother.
These children will be taught the responsibilities of working together in unity to keep the home clean and in nice condition. The house mother will also be provided accommodations in the house and will be supervising the children in there day to day living. Pastor Fredrick Makka who is currently pastoring the original church the Clark's panted over fifty years ago "Elim Pentecostal Church" will oversee the day to day operations of this project.
The home will provide bedding, shelter, food and other entities needed to bring these children off the streets of poverty and despair.
The approximate cost to build this home is $10,000 dollars and will be the first of eight built in this project.
